The Ace Racer
This leading edge high-performance shell, complete with a wave-piercing bow, is designed to win races in the 24' class in all conditions, particularly rough water. The menacing lines of the ACE bring cutting-edge design to open ocean rowing. The hull and deck cross sections of the long low bow are shaped to move up and down through the water with little resistance, allowing the ACE to pick up energy from following seas and wakes without planing under. Oarsman can now keep pressure on in following seas to accelerate. Two shallow foot wells mean there is no cockpit or wash box to trap water. The ACE sheds waves like a duck. Re-entry is a snap!
The ACE Racer is a mystical paradox of natural stillness and deliberate motion, an organic design that flows smoothly through the water with hardly a ripple, perfect for high performance rowing by a highly skilled oarsman.
On carrying the ACE Racer:
"I find the way to carry the Ace without the rigger is to come up beside the boat in the middle of the seat tracks. Reach under the boat and pick it up rolling it up your arm so it is upside down resting on your shoulder. By carrying it upside down on your shoulder you are not putting any strain on the hull. It is resting on your shoulder on the seat tracks at the balance point and the strongest part of the boat. Be careful and watch where you are walking as the boat is longer than you think trying to get around objects and corners."

“What a great day, I got my boat back, had my first day on the water, raced and won all in the same time frame. All thanks to you and Ted and Echo. As I've said before, ‘I place and win races in that boat that I wouldn't otherwise’. Thanks for making that happen.”
